Game plan changed!
Had my day planned.. I do that a lot when I have a day off from work.... Well yesturday I got 4 of the 5 finished quilt tops ready to be quilted... batting and backing ironed and ready to pin and quilt.... So today I had the mind set to quilt..... alrightyyyyy.. well the UPS man changed my mind... See I am the assembler for this months charity quilts and today UPS brought me a small package from a lady in Ohio.... she always sends the cutest blocks, always so neat, and great embroidery, seldom does the embroidery on white always chooses a nice color... so in opening the package I was thinking oh boy.. these are so beautiful... one set of applique fancy hearts on a pink flowered material, a set of straight line siloette birds on a light green... and then a set of yellow beach ducks.. with fillers to go with them..... well i was all excited to get busy with assembling.... especially because I have to send these quilts out to some one else to quilt... so I needed to get them at least started right? Well to the sewing room I go... digging in the different drawers of material.. matching colors and different designs.. oh what fun... I love it when you find the right piece of fabric... and you lay out all your colors and see what you think....okay have some material... now I have to decide on a filler or a quilt style... sometimes it's a tough decision.. sometimes you have to break away from the same old, then sometimes you just rely on what you know will work.... Its all such a fun challenge... so now I have to go put away all the fabric I pulled out that DIDNT work.... lol.. Off to the sewing room yet again....
